Studio Art: Object Study, Mouse Speaker

As a final project for my Drawing 1 class, we were tasked with an object study. The purpose of this study involved utilizing an object of our choosing, placing it among a variety of different objects and surfaces to visually study its interactions with light, environment, and space. Part of this also included studying how its positive and negative presence varied among the different subjects it was placed with, and to study how it had different interactions with light and movement.

I chose a small mouse speaker as my subject, due to the challenge of capturing a rounded surface rather than just a flat one. Light significantly influenced how I perceived and depicted the speaker in my drawings.

Each image is captioned as "Positive" or "Negative," as previously mentioned, to describe the space I was studying: "Positive" refers to the subject itself, while "Negative" indicates the removal of the subject to focus on its surroundings.

Although I didn't take a photo of the speaker to compare with my drawings, I am confident I effectively captured its essence in these images.
