ADI Meetings & Events: Costa Rican Adventure Booklet
ADI Meetings & Events was hosting a trip to Costa Rica, designed as an exotic getaway from the hectic pace of travel life, offering participants relaxation and enjoyment on the jungle coastline. Attendees would stay at two hotels in Costa Rica: one being a golf resort & spa, and the other boasting high design aesthetic and proximity to a vibrant town.
Initially, there were several pieces crafted by a different designer that I used as references for creating this booklet. These included the primary font selected for all the existing pieces. The assets already designed comprised a mailing label, invitation, travel pocket, and luggage tag. The chosen font was distinctive and bold, characterized by a hand-drawn, architectural baseline with native influences.
With this knowledge in mind during the design process, I utilized a highly floral and exotic border for each header to really enhance the jungle-feel as one flips through the pages. The trip was also advertising an eco-friendly atmosphere, highlighting the forests and beaches that attendees would experience. Given the boldness of the primary typeface, I deliberately chose to only utilize one additional typeface so as to preserve organization and hierarchy
The existing assets featured an abundance of greens and yellows. I curated a color pallete based on these visual elements and utilized them throughout the booklet. Many of the images chosen highlighted the vibrant, green forests of Costa Rica, the luxury of the hotels, and the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
